About SmallBiz Web Design Guide
After many years of fielding questions for people regarding web sites, I decided it was time to create a place where small businesses can get some answers. I searched for a similar web site and really couldn’t find one that was focused on the small business owner or manager.
One observation I made is that most small business owners want a web site, but they usually don’t understand why or how. Don’t take this the wrong way. These are successful business people, but they have little knowledge of marketing in general, and practically no understanding of web marketing.
But that’s O.K. I am a web designer. I have little to no knowledge of plumbing, air conditioning, outboard motor repairs, accounting… and the list goes on. When I need these services I go to an expert and pay them for the service.
So when a small business needs a web site and Internet marketing services, They should go to an expert and pay for the service. I would like them to come to me. Web design and marketing is what I do.
Communications is the lifeblood of relationship marketing. The purpose of  SmallBiz Web Design Guide is to provide information, answer questions, provoke more questions, and be a reference for those who are ready to market their business on the Internet or improve their Internet strategies.

I have worked in the data communications industry since 1971 for companies like Boeing, Telenet, Sprint and Espire Communications. I have held positions from Engineering Technician to Vice President of Data Network Engineering. I also have consulted for several companies including AT&T.
My resume is rather long, but not necessarily important any longer. My experience spans a broad array of management and technical disciplines, but also includes customer service and marketing methods. Since 2001 I have been a professional Web Designer and provide Internet marketing solutions to small businesses.
